Crumb Cake: a german specialty traditionally made with a yeast dough covered in crumbs. The main ingredients include butter, sugar, and flour. AKA streuselkuchen.
I must confess: I have a small crumb cake obsession.
Crumb cake…not to be confused with coffee cake, although I like those a lot too!
Crumb cake = totally amazing.
The proportion of crumb to cake is very important. I generally prefer a larger amount of crumb to cake. But when I stumbled upon Cakespy’s recipe, I was skeptical. I love Cakespy and all her recipes, but I wondered if it was possible to have too much crumb?
I had to find out.
