I am the creator of BigFatBaker.com.
I started BigFatBaker in the summer of 2010 as a way to learn more about cooking, baking, and food in general.
I wanted to create a fun place where I could share the recipes I’ve liked making, techniques I’ve learned, recommendations on kitchen tools, as well as tips on how you can be successful in the kitchen, too. I also wanted to make sure the recipes I share on BigFatBaker are approachable and easy enough for any day of the week.
Food became one of my passions early in life through my Mom and Aunt Lizzy. Both of them are very good cooks and create amazing dishes!
The passion grew when I was a junior in high school. I had a job at a cookie store, I baked often, and I was often up late at night testing all sorts of recipes.
I finally started to appreciate my skill in college. I chose a food related major (food service & lodging) and started trying to cook or bake something everyday.
After pounds of butter, sugar and flour I have finally gotten to where BigFatBaker is an escape and not a project or task. I love getting online, sharing what I’ve learned and learning new things from my network.
So what are you waiting for? Join the BigFatBaker community and feed your inner fattie!
